Show Us Your Home

Its time for Kids rooms at Kelly's Korner Show Us Your Home Friday.

To Mack and Logans room, the great thing about them being so close in age is that they have shared a room since Logan was sleeping through the night. A friend of ours gave us the boat, I made the name plaques and the curtains from burlap (nice and cheap), and the bedding is from Target.

And for the little lady. The color dosn't show well in these pictures but its kind of an apple green close to the green in the valance. The first thing I did when I found out she was a girl was run out and buy the tule to make her tutu, the quilt on the bed is from her crib set from BRU, and I found the pink wall hanging at hobby lobby and mounted it on a larger peice of wood and added the hooks. We still need it to function as a guest room for a few more months but eventually we will order her furniture which is a cherry finish, I've had a lot of fun with her room and I should have remebered to get a shot of her closet that is already getting full!

Rain Rain GO AWAY!!!

At least for a few days please? We have had a monsoon recently, 11 days straight of rainy, windy nasty weather. The sun came out and said hello on Sunday as we all emerged from church looking for our sunglasses we hadnt worn for well over a week. Yesterday was nice and because none of us had plans all the neighbors in the cauldesac gathered for an impromtu bbq in the driveway across from ours, Mack and Logan played with they'r 3 sets of adopted grandparents (we have pretty awesome neighbors) while Jay and I munched on burgers. Ofcourse I didnt get any pictures of the nice weather because I was busy enjoying it but as I had plenty of time on my hands here are a few shots of our rainy day adventures.

We watched a WHOLE lot of movies.

And ventured out in our boots to check the mail/splash in puddles.

Hope your week was a little drier than ours and hopefully I will have some good pictures of us maybe going to the beach or zoo next week, goodness knows my kids are sick of staring at our four walls!

Just another nice weekend...

Friday Mack decided that Lola must be cold while napping on the floor so he kindly covered her up with various fabric, note there is a jacket, blanket, pillow, flip flop, and stuffed elephant I think he covered all the bases....

And then I think she got warm and tried to escape....

Saturday we went to a party at some freinds house and played in the backyard till the kids were plum wore out. Here they wait paitiently ;) for daddy to set up the pool.

And I dont think there is anything cuter than Logan and his love of bubbles...

Today we did some hunting for the house, daddy needed a chair for his new office and somehow the brand new one wound up under my butt while he got the old computer chair. And ofcouse I got some very neccessary things to redo the mantle (the third little frame is reserved ;) )..

Just how we like it not too much excitement just some good ole' family time, appropriatly titled "Just another nice weekend".

Prego Ramblings....

There are lyrics to a great song I have been listening to a ton lately(three times on repeat to mcdonalds to pick up happy meals, ya it was that kind of day)anyway they explain better than I ever could how I feel about pregnancy.

"Theres something about the way that you move within me, its like a pleasant song with a perfect melody."

Jason came accross this guy during a service call and he gave him a cd. He's a local singer that does alot of gigs at all the hot spots around the beach. His name is Charlie Walker and the song is called B-E-A-utiful.

So even though my my computer is 10 feet away I am currently proped up on the couch under blanket with Jays laptop. Its one of my "Because I am pregnant" moments. Been having alot of those lately and although I strive not to complain I catch myself pulling the prego card alot lately. For instance, "I can have 2, 3, maybe 4 bites of the kids fries, because I'm pregnant" "I can take a nap with the kids, because I'm pregnant" "I can stay in my night gown until 12, beacuse I'm pregnant" Are we noticing a patern here? I am not one of those women who "glow" when they are pregnant, I do not feel great alot, I do not have tons of energy BUT I will say I LOVE being pregnant, even when its not quite a picnic. Most of my shirts are pilled from the constant rubbing, and I wear my belly proudly as it anounces itself around corners at the grocery store before I do. Just like I thought I took it a little less for granted with Logan than when I was pregnant with Mack, I feel like its going to be over before I know it and every little kick and roll is more precious than the last. A little pre-birth communication between Moma and Queenie and I love it. So even though I am counting the days until I can see her face and touch her tiny self, and even when I get winded at inconvenient moments, I never take for granted the incredible blessing it is to carry this gift from God.

This ones for Brandi

Our Suburban garden. Upon the suggestion of Papaw B we sank five gallon buckets into the ground and left a 2 inch lip (helps gather water and keep out pests). Then we filled the buckets with 50% ground soil, 25% compost, and 25% miracle grow garden soil, planted the sprouts and voila tomatoes .....

My Cheif Editor

So Jason got home and I was excited to show him all my work setting up our family blog, and his first comment was ummm honey we definitly met in 2003 NOT 2004. WOOPSY! Hey I'm only human right. He also suggested since his monaker of choice for me is Honey that ofcourse I should be Honey B, and it only makes sense that he would be Worker B, see he brings alot to the table here right? So I lovingly/rolling my eyes made the changes but stopped him at my many comma blunders, a girl has her limits.

The Name Game

We have finally after much contemplation/arguing come to an agreement for our precious little queenie's name. Unless we come across something that changes our mind (and we are pretty set on this one) the newest B in our hive will be June Mikayla Buehler. Uncle David actually came up with June and we both loved it, Mikayla came from Jasons middle name Micheal after his uncle Mike. So there you have it our June bug, now I just wish the September would come and we could meet her

A new begining

My first post.... This blog is an attempt to simplify keeping in contact with friends and family. Socializing networks are just not for me, too much to keep up with. So I wanted to create a place where our friends and family can come and keep updated on the lastest of the Buehler escapades. So that means you Papa Beuhler, Dad, Jon and Tiff, Aunt Becky, Kristen Aunt Suzie, Uncle John, Justin and Kelly, Josh and Dayna, Scotty and Brandi, Uncle Jerry, Nicky, Eric and Stephanie, Uncle Gary and Maria, James, Aunt April and Uncle Larry, Angie and Jason. Basically all of you whom are often in our hearts and on our minds but too far away! We love you all and hope you tune in to keep up with whats going on with us as Jason keeps keepin on at Trane, Mack starts school, Logan keeps growing at an alarming rate, we welcome our baby girl, and I try to keep up with it all without my head spinning off my shoulders!

Lots of Love and Blessings,
Moma B
